As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: (1Peter 4:10)
Family Promise
Empowering families in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho Communities who are at risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness, to achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.
Family Promise of Albuquerque coordinates the compassion of our staff and volunteers to address the root causes of family homelessness. We address the issue holistically, providing prevention services before families reach crisis, shelter and case management when they become homeless, and stabilization programs once they have secured housing to ensure they remain independent.
How we’re involved:
We provide meals and volunteer support several weeks throughout the year.
Storehouse New Mexico
Storehouse New Mexico is a nonprofit community-based food pantry that provides free groceries to people in need.
The Storehouse was founded with one specific goal: to help New Mexicans solve their food insecurities regardless of race, faith, age, gender, or disability. Hunger has increased over recent years, but so has the Storehouse’s reach and ability to help. The Storehouse provides nutritious food to approximately 50,000 people a year.
How we’re involved:
We collect donations of baby food, diapers, and toys every week in our Storehouse box (located outside the sanctuary) and have special appeals throughout the year.
Lutheran Family Services
Helping every individual and family to be safe, supported and thriving, and part of a resilient and flourishing community.
Today more than 82 million refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced persons are living with a very uncertain future. The Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains (LFSRM) Refugee and Asylee Programs are dedicated to helping those vulnerable individuals and families rebuild their lives by equipping them to achieve self-sufficiency within their first year in the United States and fostering integration into their new communities.
Lunch Bags for the Community–
St. Timothy’s prepares lunch bags which are distributed at the office entry to our church. These are for anyone in the community who needs them, such as our unhoused neighbors. Donations are always welcome to support this ministry to the vulnerable in our community.
Ongoing: We are a church that rolls up our sleeves and gets to work. Click on the icons below to learn how St. Tim’s is actively involved in these organizations.
